The mileage allowance is stated on the car. Bring your physical driving licence; copies and electronic licences are not accepted.

[01]Where do I collect my car at the airport?+
Confirm the meeting point and collection process with your rental agent before arrival. Keep your airport collection checklist with those instructions so your documents and handover questions are ready.
[02]Do I need a credit card?+
Payment and card requirements vary by car. Some cars may require a physical embossed credit card in the main driver’s name; some accept a physical personalised debit card. Check the exact car’s terms.
[03]What driving licence should I bring?+
Bring your valid physical national licence with Latin-script details. Electronic versions and copies are not accepted. An international driving permit is strongly recommended if your licence is valid only in the issuing country. The driving licence requirements sit in the country conditions alongside the payment and fuel rules.
[04]Is insurance the same for every car?+
No. Check the cover and excess for your chosen car. Standard insurance excludes wheels, the undercarriage, windscreen and interior.
[05]Can I drive outside South Africa?+
Tell the rental agent in advance if you plan to cross a border. You will need the relevant documents and permission. Do not assume that cross-border travel is included.
